It’s still surreal to me sometimes that I’ve been doing this fabulous”job” for just over 5 years now… so how fitting it is that I am sharing with you today, a family that was my very first paying client way back then… and they have supported me tirelessly throughout the entire 5 years ♥

Tricia was pregnant with Bryce when we took that first set of family photos… and when Bryce was born, he became my baby model… I took pictures of him constantly for the first year or two of his life – it gave me practice, and it gave his mama lots of photos! So it was a definite win-win for both of us.

I’ve watched these 3 boys grow up from behind my lens, and it’s so amazing to see what handsome young men they are becoming. Here’s your preview, Rooney family – can’t wait to share all the gorgeous images with you! ♥

I took photos of Bryce in this very suitcase when he was just a newborn…. this really shows just how much he’s grown ♥

Sometimes you find the absolute perfect location, with the best lighting, and the most amazing fall colour… this was definitely one of those times!! Tom and Nicole are the local owners of Cutting Edge Fitness (where I spent a LOT of time), so it was nice to be the boss for once, haha

It was such a blast working with all you guys, but I’m sorry – Sophie totally stole the show! ♥

Hope you enjoy your preview!

All I could think when I saw Sophie’s expression in this last photo? “What? You got a photo of all of us looking, even the dog?” haha 🙂

The last of 5 weddings I shot in August is finally ready to be previewed!! I’m definitely doing the happy dance here, haha. Much like that day, actually…. although it was a bit breezy, the weather was fantastic, and everyone was such a breeze to work with. After an outdoor ceremony at Middle Island, we had lots of time for photos… which got everyone pretty hungry, so we stopped by Ben’s for hot dogs (I kid you not). How awesome is that?! Then it was off to the reception, where there lots of laughs, a few tears, and a dance party like no other. Oh yeah – and there was an ice cream cake for the groom for the official cutting of the cake (plus some pretty delicious cupcakes).

I had actually met these two a few years back when I shot Jason’s sister’s wedding, so it was like a reunion of sorts. I had a great day then, and definitely a great day again!

I had the pleasure of having a local photographer assist me for the day as well, which certainly made my day a TON easier! Nicole Robichaud of Dreamland Photography, thanks for all your help throughout the day!! She got some great shots at the reception and dance as well, which are featured in this post.

Hey pretty girl, can I have this dance
And the next one after that
Gonna make you mine there’s a real good chance
Hey pretty girl, can I have this dance

Hey pretty girl, it feels so right
Just like it’s meant to be
All wrapped up in my arms so tight
Hey pretty girl, it feels so right

Back in late August, I travelled to Bathurst to shoot a wedding, for a couple that I can only describe as AWESOME.  This was the last wedding that I booked for 2014, and I’m so glad I did!!

Everything took place at Beresford Beach… the bride and groom were just a few cottages away from each other as they completed their wedding day preparations. Everyone and everything was probably the most relaxed I’ve ever seen for a wedding. With a ceremony by the water, their friends and family surrounding them, it was hard to imagine a day that suited these two any more ♥

There was lots of fun and socializing throughout the evening, which was followed by a seriously ridiculously huge bonfire… which probably allowed me to create (and I’m not exaggerating) the most favourite photo that I have ever taken. Yes, EVER.

Here’s your HUGE preview guys…. hope you enjoy it as much as I do ♥

We can always look back at what we did

Always the memory of you and me baby

But right now it’s you and me forever girl

You know we can do better than anything that we did

You know that you and me we can do anything

I have been very fortunate to work with some pretty amazing couples over the last 5 years, and Anne and Ryan are no exception. These two were so much fun to photograph!! Since Anne is from Loggieville, we stayed close by there for all our locations. First stop was Lockerbies farm, and then the walking trail… but the real gem was a hidden spot I didn’t even know existed, until these two showed me. It was tricky to get to, but WOW …. it was totally worth it!! If our engagement session was any indication, the wedding is going to be phenomenal… I absolutely cannot wait guys!!

Now here are some of my favourites from our September evening together ♥
