I’ve been slacking on this project as of late…. but after spraining my ankle the end of February, plus going on a family vacation, things got a little off track. I’m so happy to be back!! I didn’t take a lot of time to shoot these photos – honestly I took 10 minutes one morning when I saw something on my way out the door to the gym… when I got home it was still the same, so I grabbed my camera and played around a little. For the photographers in the crowd, these were shot with my Lensbaby Composer Pro and some extension tubes… totally different look and feel than I’m used to, but this project is about experimenting… and I was very pleased with the results!
What I saw was a shrub (which is obviously not in bloom yet)… and with the melt/freeze cycle we are having this spring, these little icicles were hanging everywhere on it. By the time noon came, they had completely disappeared.
Admittedly this last shot is pretty abstract…. I unintentionally lost focus before clicking the shutter. I was going to delete it, but experience has told me to just look at it on the monitor once I upload it before I do something like that…. and honestly I find there’s something eerie and mysterious and, well, abstract about it. To me, anyway. I’m glad I kept it!
Next up is my good friend Denean Melcher… you’ll find her Lensbaby-inspired post here.Pin It
