52 Fridays – Week 22 {Miramichi NB Photographer} {Personal Project}

Pin It

Every once in a while, when I see our weekly themes, an idea immediately comes to mind – something different – and although I think my interpretation “fits”, I’m not sure what others will think. This week was one of those times. I thought about a million other things that I could’ve done, but I kept coming back to this. Our theme?

{GROWTH}

It’s been a few weeks since I did a self-portrait, and although I don’t love them yet, I don’t mind them quite as much as I once did. My idea was to portray “personal growth”. It seemed appropriate, given the fact that getting in front of the lens and putting myself out there, has required some major growth on my part. Six months ago, you wouldn’t have caught me in front of the lens for anything. My, how things change;)

I actually wanted to do a more creative self-portrait this week, to really show what I want to convey, but time got away from me… not to mention all the rainy weather.  I’ll save that for another post!

Next up are the ever-talented Stacy and Aldo of D’Lara Photography in Downer’s Grove, IL. I hope you’ll join me in checking out how they each interpreted our theme this week! There are several other photographers participating this week, and I hope you’ll visit their blogs as well!

Good for you for doing another self portrait! It’s a great interpretation of the theme. And it’s ok if you didn’t get to do the shot you wanted, the important part is that you have a shot of your RIGHT NOW, and you’ll always remember how you felt when you took it. Also, great skin and colours on this!!

Great job at growing and getting in front of the camera.
